New Book Release: A Savior is Risen

New,Release,Latest,Brand,Update,Concept

Hey, my friends,

I hope this finds you well and your New Year is off to a fabulous start. I wanted to let you know my next book, A Savior is Risen: a 40-Day Lent Devotional, releases on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and will be available on Amazon and everywhere books are sold. When Zondervan approached me about writing this project, they requested that I not use any “theological phrases” or “church words.” That turned out to be a taller order than I anticipated, but I did my best to honor their request. As a result, I hope readers will find A Savior is Risen to be a straight-talk reader -friendly book that prepares our hearts and minds to celebrate Easter. Daily readings will take 10 to 15 minutes during the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday. It’s available in hardcover, ebook format, and Audible.

I’ll be honest: as much as I love writing books, I don’t enjoy advertising things I’ve written.  (It feels weird and mildly gross). My goal as a writer is to be helpful and avoid falling down the slippery slope of self-promotion. All that to say, I promise not to let this blog become a tool for frequent advertising, but on occasion, I will let you know when something new is published. If you feel inclined to spread the word, I would be grateful. I don’t take your time or your readership for granted. Here’s a link if you are interested: A Savior is Risen.

God bless you all—and thanks for reading!

  1. Hi, Susan! (this really isn’t a comment, but it’s an “ask”)

I am Station Manager for WBNH Christian Radio in central Illinois. (see http://www.wbnh.org) I also am the morning drive time on-air host. As part of my program every weekday morning, I share a short devotional message. These are typically someone else’s work and I get permission to use them first, then give the author/publisher, etc. all the credit, per their instructions.

May I use the devotions from your new book on the air, please? These would be perfect for the weeks leading up to Easter, just like they are for purchasers of the book.

    I contacted Zondervan, too.

    Many thanks!
    Jim

    1. Jim,

Yes, by all means, please feel free to share them on air. Thanks for being in touch. (I was raised in Central IL and graduated from Rantoul High School). Susan
